Here is the link to the Kickstarter

Let me know if you pledged in the comments. I’m in for the Digital Tier and will be watching the stretch goals!

For the last few weeks, I’ve been waiting for a Kickstarter. Thankfully it’s not waiting for a product to ship, it’s waiting for a Kisckstarter to start.

The next edition of Savage Worlds hits Kickstarter on October 16 (Noon Eastern if your counting).

Savage Worlds is one of my favorite systems, especially for Con games. I’ve used it for fantasy, science fiction, super heroes, and combinations of all of the above.

A few of the things I’m most interested in are new support rules, chase rules, and multi-action rules. Listening to the last Savage Cast podcast with Shane Hensley, I was encouraged to hear that one of the driving forces was “eliminating friction” from play. From Shane’s description, I believe that he means taking away those moments that drive players back into the book and stop the flow of action.

From the podcast, the shaken/wounds system stays, but more explanation and a table of results has been added. Perhaps now it wont be the most popular thread on the forums.

Besides rules changes and updates, I’m extremely interested in what the Savages have in mind for stretch goals. I’m not worried about delivery, it sounds like the majority of work is done. I want to see what the extras are! Maps, setting updates, adventures and anything else they can include.

I’m planning on running a Star Wars game at GenCon next year, and Savage Worlds is my system of choice right now. Here’s hoping that the SWADE updates make it even more Fast, Fun, and Furious.
