Failure and Inspiration

I’ve mentioned a post or two ago that I was trying the Gamer Lifestyle 30 day product boot camp. It is not going well.  A few days into the writing and creating process, I got stuck traveling down too many paths and ended up stopping. Embarrassing. My ideas collided with the current options I found on DriveThruRPG and I lost my way.

Is all lost? Am I giving up? I hope not.

I found inspiration in church (now stop that and come back – not that kind of inspiration).

I play the trombone and sing as one of my hobbies. This last weekend was Reformation – where Luther tacks his These on the door of the church and refused to back down. How are these two things connected? Well, if you are going to have musicians at church, you use them for every service and then some. I played a rehearsal on Saturday, two services on Sunday, and a concert Sunday afternoon. That is a lot of time to think about someone who got an idea into his head, wrote something down and put it up for the whole world to see.

And I’m worried about putting something up on DriveThruRPG.

So I’m still reading through the daily notes from boot camp, but my goals have scaled back. First will be one or two more fronts to give away here on the sites Product page. There’s one there now, go take a look. Then they get combined together if that makes sense and put on the door to the church (or posted to DriveThruRPG). Smaller steps, easier for me, and lacking the threat of excommunication (I hope).

Thanks for listening.
