Escape Characters

Sorry for the lack of communication. I have been furiously working on my two adventures for GenCon, Escape from Coruscant and Operation Heinlein. The PCs are just about done – I know I keep saying that – and as proof, I have attached the Escape PCs to this post. Please take a look and feel free to comment. I did not include the backstory or character relationship notes – have to save something for the Con.

I love how creating PCs changes the adventure. You start with this idea, and it just grows as you keep adding more bits and pieces. This Sunday is scheduled for maps and more LEGOs (my favorite GM terrain aid). I’m sure that will change the adventure even more. Besides, I get my boys involved in the process. There is almost nothing more satisfying than raising up gamers.

On a separate topic, I’ll be playing some DnD Next/5/Basic with some new friends. Very much looking forward to trying out the new system. Haven’t been reading as much as I would like – adventures to create – tick tock – but it seems pretty good and I know that I’ll pick up the new Players Handbook when it comes out. Look for a review afterwards.

And lastly, I am turning 50 in a couple weeks and decided to give myself a gaming convention as a present. GrognardCon will be on August 2nd! So far I have about 18 folks coming and will be hosting three “slots” of games with three tables during each. I hope it will be a fun day for everyone. Lots of new and old gamers. I also get to playtest adventures before GenCon – see what I did there…

Please leave comments on the PCs if you would like.
