GenCon 2016 is Coming

Emails from GenCon today started me thinking about games for this year. Like the last few years, I have two games that I’ll run twice.

The first is an idea I got from looking at a listing on another Con site and combining it with my oldest sons obsession with Lost:

Return to Gilligan’s Island

The Gygaxians attacked in the night. Using a gorilla suit and coconuts you escaped, but others weren’t so lucky. Now it’s up to Skipper, Gilligan, and some other 60’s TV icons to rescue any survivors.

System: 5e – 4 to 6 players

I ran this last year for a local group and had a lot of fun. Need to add some more intrigue and options. It was more than a little railroady. I also need to trim down from 8 characters to 6. Rod Serling and Tonto may not make it.

The second game is a Star Wars the Clone Wars scenario. I do love me some Clone Troopers.

The Taking of Pelham 123

Even a Clone Trooper needs a little R&R. Pelham 123, a backwater mining post, is just the place. Rest up and heal up, it sounds like paradise. We both know it’s never that easy.

System: Savage Worlds – 4 to 6 players

This game took advantage of a huge space station map from Maps of Mastery. Christopher West makes some awesome stuff and has contributed many of the maps for SW Saga Edition, some for Numenera, and countless more games. If you can, support him on Kickstarter – he always delivers.

I’ll have the character sheets up here as GenCon gets closer. Keep an eye out.

When the events are released, look for Party of One (PoO). It’s the name my local group uses for all our games. In addition to the above we have Savage Star Trek, more Star Wars, and of course more 5e fantasy.
